What a region group is
Instead of a generic rules builder, Comeback groups your rules by shipping country. The default groups are:
- EEA
- UK
- US
- Rest of world
Each group can have its own window, allowed resolutions, fees, and final-sale settings — this is how you handle "our EU customers get different terms than our US customers" without configuring every country by hand.
What you can set per group

The EEA guardrail
For the EEA group specifically, refund can't be switched off for requests made within 14 days of delivery — this reflects the EU's own consumer-protection floor, not something we're choosing to restrict for other reasons. You can still turn off refunds for EEA requests made after that 14-day window.
Final-sale rules never apply to Path B (the EU withdrawal form) — your own final-sale tag can't be used to block a legal withdrawal declaration, even though it can block a normal return through Path A. Note that the underlying law itself has its own, separate list of exceptions to the right of withdrawal (for example custom-made goods, or sealed goods unsealed for hygiene reasons) — your final-sale tag not blocking Path B doesn't mean every item you sell is automatically withdrawable; that depends on the law's own exceptions, which are outside what this app can determine for you.
Free plan
On the Free plan, only one region group ("All countries") is editable — the EEA guardrail above still applies to EEA orders even on Free. Other groups are visible but locked, with a clear "Starter" badge. Upgrading unlocks per-group control.
How "delivery" is calculated
Where Shopify has a delivered date on the fulfillment, we use that. Otherwise, we use the fulfillment date plus 7 days as a buffer — you can lengthen this buffer, but not shorten it below fulfillment date + 7 days.
